Exhibition at Seventh Gallery, Melbourne, Australia. 2014.

There are oceans and waves and wires and wires between us is an exhibition by Threefold, the collaborative practice of Pirrin Franics, Melissa Ryke and Hayley Brandon. Using their geographical distance as a basis, their work investigates processes of collaboration across physical, digital and cognitive space. For Seventh, the artists have performed and documented a series of event scores and created a ‘Journal Wall’ – a collage that incorporates diary entries, images and conversations that proliferated throughout their collaboration. The work re-examines the boundaries between individual and collective practice and reflects on ideas of authorship, control and originality.
